A validation study is currently being conducted comparing the results of the FBA Profiler with those of the BASC-II (along with other behavior rating scales). Preliminary findings suggest that the overall rating data correlates very highly (.88 to .93) between the two instruments. Professionals participating in the study have also been asked if the results obtained from the FBA Profiler were found to be more useful than, less useful than, or of similar value to the results of the BASC-II:

  • 48% preferred the data provided by the FBA Profiler
  • 50% noted no preference
  • 2% preferred the data provided by the BASC-II
